How this started

It started with a bet.

In November 2024, I publicly bet Acquire.com that my startup listed on their marketplace wouldn’t sell for $15,000. The stakes: whoever lost would put $5,000 toward women builders. It didn’t sell, and that $5,000 became the first funding IrisImpactCircle ever had.

I challenge you this won’t sell for 15k.
If it does, I’ll give 5k to women’s builders.
If not, you give 5k to women’s builders.

Where the money goes

Two line items. No third one for founders.

Infrastructure

Servers, hosting, and AI tooling.

Founder’s runway

Leo’s living costs, so he can deliver services free instead of billing for them.

No third line item. Nothing goes to founders as direct grants or capital, only free services. The exact split will be published here soon.

Common questions

Before you back it

Why isn’t this a normal donation?

A donation makes one moment of impact. This compounds: back it once, and the same pool keeps producing free services, with results reported back.

Where exactly does my money go?

Infrastructure (servers, hosting, AI tooling) and Leo’s own runway, which lets him work full-time instead of billing hourly. None of it goes to founders as cash.

Where did the first $5,000 come from?

A public bet with Acquire.com on X: my startup listing wouldn’t sell for $15,000. It didn’t, and that became the first money in.

What happens when the raise runs out?

Still being decided: relaunching, paid services alongside the free tier, a sponsor, or direct founder funding later. Whatever’s chosen will be posted here.

How will I know it worked?

Outcome reports and founder stories, shared periodically. This starts small and grows as real results come in.
